2 Days in TOTAL – FEE: £300.00 inc lunch.
Day 1 – Classroom based leaning – (09:30 – 16:30).
Day 2 – Classroom and practical remapping – (09:30 – 16:30).
Who is the course for?
This course is designed to teach students with little or no previous experience in ECU programming. Our trainers have years of experience and are fully trained and practicing Remapping technicians. This means our knowledge passed onto you is not only up-to date but its also relevant to the cars in today’s market. Weather your a mechanic looking to move into a niche market or complete beginner looking to start as an auto technician our trainers are qualified to tailor the course to your needs.
Course Content:
On completion of our course, students will gain an understanding of topics such as:
DAY ONE:
- How to correctly explain the remapping process to potential customers.
- Understanding ECU tuning on Petrol vs Diesel.
- Introduction to ECU’s and the different types.
- Identifying the cars remapping file (Flash via OBD).
- Reading the cars remapping file (Flash via OBD).
- Writing the modified file back to the car (Flash via OBD).
- Recovery of an ECU from a state of corrupt / non starting after bad file or flash.
- OBD port specifications.
DAY TWO:
- Remapping tools / equipment.
- Software / programs available.
- Answers of FAQ regarding remapping.
- Practical guided chance to either remap your own car or our test vehicle (PRACTICAL).
- How to and what to look out for on the before and after test drive.
- A ‘How to start guide on self employment’ (optional comes with help booklet to take home).
- Recap, questions and answers.
